Les caract\u00e9ristiques de surface sont celles d'un rev\u00eatement en b\u00e9ton dur. La norme pour le mono-b\u00e9ton est sp\u00e9cifi\u00e9e dans la SIA 252 (rev\u00eatements de sol en ciment, magn\u00e9sie, r\u00e9sine synth\u00e9tique et bitume). Le mono-b\u00e9ton est dimensionn\u00e9 selon la norme SIA 262 (construction en b\u00e9ton).<\/p><p>Apr\u00e8s le coulage du b\u00e9ton, g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement pompable, la surface est imm\u00e9diatement trait\u00e9e \u00e0 l'aide de proc\u00e9d\u00e9s sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s. L'utilisation de fibres d'acier permet dans de nombreux cas de renoncer \u00e0 l'armature traditionnelle du tissu, ce qui augmente l'extensibilit\u00e9 et r\u00e9duit consid\u00e9rablement la sensibilit\u00e9 aux fissures.<\/p><p>Le b\u00e9ton ultra-hautes performances (BFUP) est tr\u00e8s fragile sans mesures suppl\u00e9mentaires. L'ajout de fibres d'acier permet d'obtenir une ductilit\u00e9 suffisante et utile d'un point de vue statique dans la zone de rupture du b\u00e9ton. La taille et la g\u00e9om\u00e9trie des fibres jouent un r\u00f4le important. Avec des fibres pouvant atteindre jusqu'\u00e0 environ 12 mm, une r\u00e9sistance en flexion-tension de jusqu'\u00e0 59 N\/mm\u00b2 peut \u00eatre atteinte.
